If possible make your own bread and in case whenever you eat processed foods choose low salt or low sodium versions.
Bananas, they are rich in potassium and can help in releasing surplus fluid from body tissues. Peaches, raspberries, apricots, raisins, and spinach are also rich in potassium.
Doing too much cardio activities can also increase the levels of cortisol. If you are facing problems with water retention, it is better to limit the number of cardio sessions that you generally do every week.
Doing regular exercise has the power to decrease the water retention by flushing out the excess water and salt through sweating, high breathing levels and increased flow of urine. A good rule of thumb is to do cardio or aerobic exercises which raise your heart beat rate and causes your body to sweat more. Also, steam rooms and saunas can be a good option. But remember to drink sufficient water otherwise your body may get dehydrated.
